Rocking the Daisies

I have been looking forward to Rocking the Daisies the whole year.

Music festivals are one of my favorite past times whether its lazing in the sun at in a field a Bestival or squelching in the mud at Glastonbury, some of my fondest memories are nestled in those fields. I love nothing more that switching off from the crazy fast paced world outside those festival fences and enjoying time with friends, listening to live music.
Nothing lifts the soul like the sound of live music.

I was convinced I would make it to Rocking the Daisies this year, but the mountain of university work with my name written all over it seems to have quite a different idea.

Rocking the Daisies is a three day music festival, on a Darling wine farm in the Western Cape. It will be running from Friday 7th - Sunday 9th October, 2011. Tickets are for the whole weekend R450 or R550 at the gate. There will be three stages with live performances from loads of South African artists and few international performers thrown in for good measure.

For those of you that make it to Rocking the Daisies have a drink or two on my behalf and think of me chained to my desk L
