I love the rhymes that run through the books. I love the nonsensical and the bizarre pictures.
As a child I was an amazing at story teller, I used to love creative writing at school and letting my imagination runaway with me. I would go to my Gran’s and tell her elaborate stories about what my mum and I had been doing that week. These stories included going to the circus or the zoo or some theme park or other. When my Gran would ask my mum, my mum would tell her it was all nonsense. Books like the cat in the hat fuelled my wild imagination.
