1. A thing that prevents someone from giving their full attention to something else
pro·cras·ti·na·tion
1. the act of procrastinating; putting off, delaying or deferring an action to a later time
This week, every time I have sat down at the laptop in an attempt to focus on the task in hand, my mind drifts far away from what I am doing.
The smallest thing is able to draw me away from the laptop and the ever growing pile of work.
Watering the plants, feeding the cats, watching TV, even tidying the house and doing the washing up seem like a far more attractive options.
I need to focus its torture.
