The day after the night before

I went to the wedding on Saturday, the alcohol was flowing and I may have had a bit to much to drink. It took me until 6pm the following day to be able to move from my darkened bedroom to the living room and only then could I just about tolerate the noise of the TV.

I really can’t drink like I used to, so frustrating to waste the day when the sun is shining and I had to stay coped up in a darkened room in case the nausea and the headache come back with vengeance.

I was beyond help this particular Sunday, but here are some of the more popular hangover preventions and cures that you could try so that you don't waste your weekend like I did:

1) Barocca before you go out, something to do with boosting your vitamin B.
2) Drink less alcohol!
3) The age old trick of drinking plenty of water in between drinks and when you get home.
4) Exercise to sweat out the hangover, although this is the last thing I feel like doing.
4) A greasy fry up to soak up all the alcohol
5) Coke, the bubbles supposedly help nausea and the sugar will give you energy

  1. I've read that some of those health nuts recommend a very nutritious smoothie (with aloe and some other gross stuff) and then a run to cure a hang over in no time. Like yeah! Who's gonna try that?
