Our reputations often precede us, sometimes this can be good and other times, there are things you would prefer people not to know.
We are living in an age, were knowledge and power are just a click away. We leave so much information floating around in cyberspace on facebook, twitter, flickr, blogs and youtube, a simple google search is all it takes to dish up some dirt.
A potential employer, a new acquaintance or even a complete stranger can have access to your inner most thoughts, feelings and photos.
Managing this flow of information is soooo important. You must make sure privacy settings limit access to personal information and all the content you put online should contribute positively to your personal brand, so that it wont come back to bite you.
If the google search spits out some horrendous drunken photo of you, it may be a lasting first impression and we all know first impressions count.
After all we are what we do!
It's kinda scary in a way isn't it? Just googled myself after reading this.
